Story Notes:
Sunnydale wasn’t destroyed
It was as if fate drew them together. Accidently meeting online, then not long after, finally meeting for the first time when he was visiting UC Sunnydale before the start of his freshman year. She still had a year to go before she graduated highschool but she didn’t mind the slight age difference. When he arrived, he had been everything she had hoped him to be. He was handsome and sweet and a complete gentleman.

Dawn felt like she was walking on air as they walked side by side drinking mochas and talking about their lives. When he started discussing his real father and mother, she felt her world crash and fall around her. Connor was Angel’s son. She couldn’t help but feel that it might not be as meant to be as she once thought.

If Buffy and Angel ever found out about them dating, they’d try to keep them apart, just because it would remind them too much of what they once tried so hard to hold onto, of the way they had been in love, of the failed dream of a normal life which had proved impossible for a vampire and a Slayer.

Fate could be so cruel.
