He’d only come by to find information about Buffy’s childhood friend, Ford. He had suspicions that the boy wasn’t all he was claiming to be. But after he had arrived at her doors, his feelings of jealousy and thoughts of doubt had ceased almost immediately upon seeing her through a crack in the blinds. Watching as the fabric of the paper-thin night shirt slowly covered her smooth apricot skin. It was as if she was teasing him. Knew that he was out there watching… waiting. But she couldn’t possibly have known that.
His eyes closed tightly, forcing away the indecent thoughts filling his mind. When he reopened them, they focused on her hair as the brush she was using smoothed it out. He wanted to bury his fingers in those silky auburn tresses, tangle and pull causing it to mess again. He could only imagine what she’d look like after being in the throws of passion.
It seemed his mind was going to continue to spiral down impure paths if he didn’t do something to detour them.
Knuckles lightly rapped against the window of the double doors, drawing her attention toward them. He forced out a breath as she peeked through the blinds before slowly opening the door, allowing the soft scent of lavender and Willow to flood his senses.
From her confused look she was casting him; he realized that she was surprised to see him there, at her house, standing outside of her bedroom of all places. He couldn’t blame her. If it weren’t for his wanting to seek information, he more than likely wouldn’t have shown up.
She invited him inside after remembering he couldn’t enter without an invite and walked toward her bed. Her heart was racing, nervous from him being there perhaps. He glanced away from staring at the back of her legs to quietly shut the door behind him after he stepped inside. When had she put those slippers on?
His ears perked, picking up the sound of her heart pounding even faster as he started moving toward her. She was a little flushed turning around quickly as if he had caught her red handed in the middle of a crime scene. His eyes glanced toward her pillow, spying a single white bra strap sticking out from under it as he stepped in front of her.
Their eyes connected again as he told her he’d behave himself. He couldn’t really help but smile at her innocence. It was one of the things about her that he found adorable.
Her teeth lightly bit her bottom lip as she studied him in silence. It finally got to him. He wanted to be the one to nibble on her lips, to taste them--her.
Gently he placed his fingers under her chin, tilting her head up as he leaned in, intent on giving her the sweetest of kisses.
Lips touched and sparks ignited. Soft and innocent became hungry and passionate. Strong arms circled her waist, pulling her flush against his hard body. A moan reverberated deep in his throat as she pressed herself into him, wrapping her arms around his neck. Soon, his hand found its way into her hair, tangling soft strands between his fingers.
The friction they were creating would have surely set him ablaze if she hadn’t pulled back at that moment. He felt her breaths coming out in light pants against his lips, which ached to find hers again.
Glazed emerald eyes locked with his, darkened with untamed lust, awakened by the girl that he held in his arms. A feeling that had long since been forgotten. And he knew that her fiery kisses were only the beginning. Both demon and soul wanted to drown in every last inch of her.
Removing his hand from her hair, he gently cupped her face as she spoke, lightly tracing the edge of her lip with the pad of his thumb. She said his name, almost whispering.
“A-Angel?”
There were so many questions in her voice, in her eyes. Questions he couldn’t answer yet, as he was still seeking answers himself.
He swallowed, slowly removing his hand from the warmth of her skin.
“I… I should go.” A deep frown appeared on her face and he hated that he was the one who put it there.
“You-you want to leave? You don’t have… was it me? Did I do something wrong?”
He blinked. How could she possibly think that she did anything wrong? Of course it wasn’t her, it was him.
“No, Willow. You didn’t do anything wrong.”
“But you pulled away a-and… it was my first kiss, I thought--”
He captured her lips again cutting off whatever else she had to say, making any doubt in her head that she did something wrong dissipate in that single kiss. With a growl, he forced himself away and cupped her face with both of his hands this time.
“I’ll be back tomorrow night, Willow. I don’t know how much more I can control myself around you right now, so I need to go before things get out of hand.”
In a kiss induced haze she nodded her understanding. He placed another peck on her lips before forcing himself away once more, already finding it one of the most difficult things he has ever had to do, to pull away from the warmth she was silently offering him. Not just from her body, but from her heart.
Giving her once last glance from the balcony he smiled, catching the tips of her fingers brushing against her lips before he hopped down and headed toward his apartment.
He didn’t get the information that he had been seeking tonight but he definitely discovered something far better than that. Something he had been unknowingly seeking for centuries.
